runx skill: structured extraction
- Dogfood the work. Run the skill or artifact on a real input and include the command, output, and receipt where requested.
- Make the proof checkable. Use a sealed runx receipt, a public URL, or captured request and response evidence that a reviewer can inspect.
- Keep claims tied to sources. Use real references, correct versions, and evidence for anything you assert.
- Ship something with public or operator value. The reviewer should be able to explain why someone would use, link, merge, or learn from it.
- Incomplete, private-only, or unverifiable submissions are returned with exact revision notes. Fix the packet and resubmit.
Build a governed runx skill that turns messy HTML, PDF, or text into clean, schema-validated JSON, then run it on real messy inputs, not toy data. The bar is that the output validates against a declared schema and the run seals a receipt; extraction that only works on a hand-picked sample needs more evidence before review.
Deliverable:A governed runx skill published to the runx registry that extracts clean, schema-validated JSON from messy HTML, PDF, or text, plus a real run on genuinely messy inputs: the registry URL, source URL, declared output schema, validated JSON, sealed receipt of the run, and evidence.json naming the inputs.
- The delivery uses runx CLI 0.6.13 or newer; evidence_json.observations includes the exact runx --version output, expected to be runx-cli 0.6.13 or newer, and the publish/install/dogfood/verify commands were run with that binary.
- The exact package name is structured-extraction; publish flow is runx login --provider github --for publish, then runx registry publish ./skills/structured-extraction/SKILL.md --registry https://api.runx.ai. public_url is the live registry listing for <owner>/structured-extraction@<version> and the canonical public adoption page; source_url is the public source/provenance URL used to publish; and runx registry read <owner>/structured-extraction@<version> --json resolves the published metadata and digests when exposed. Do not publish a near-name, alternate name, or renamed implementation. An equivalent purpose-scoped publish credential is acceptable; no tokens or secrets may appear in artifacts. Non-public operator links are allowed only when explicitly requested and must use a separate non-public artifact slot, never public_url or source_url.
- Open a public PR against runxhq/runx that contains the submitted skill package, including skills/structured-extraction/X.yaml, skills/structured-extraction/SKILL.md, fixtures, and harness evidence. Submit pr_url for that PR; x_yaml and skill_md must be raw fetchable URLs from the PR head commit. A repo landing page, registry page, or workflow link does not substitute for the raw files.
- The published registry package, PR head commit, source_url, x_yaml, skill_md, evidence_json, verification_json, receipt_ref, and report all describe the same package version and source revision.
- A clean install succeeds with runx add <owner>/structured-extraction@<version>; the local harness passed before publish via runx harness ./skills/structured-extraction; the hosted registry harness passed after publish; a real dogfood run via runx skill <owner>/structured-extraction@<version> --json produced a receipt; and that receipt passes runx verify --receipt <receipt.json> --json.
- A working governed skill: a complete execution profile (`X.yaml`) with typed runners, outputs, allowed refs, side-effect posture, approval/authority posture, receipt mapping where applicable, and harness cases.
- A run on real messy inputs (not toy data) that produces a sealed receipt.
- The output validates against a declared schema.
- The declared schema and the validation result are both shown.
- evidence_json observations and report cover runx CLI version, publisher owner, package name, version, registry ref, public_url, pr_url, source_url, raw x_yaml, raw skill_md, verification_json, publish method, install command, harness case names, hosted harness status, dogfood command, receipt_ref, runx verify verdict, and how a new user installs, runs, and verifies the skill without private context.

Returned for revision if:Screenshots alone, local-only runs, prose-only summaries, unlisted skills, PRs without the package files, repo landing pages instead of raw X.yaml/SKILL.md, borrowed registry URLs, old or unreported runx versions, red hosted harnesses, non-installable packages, unverifiable receipts, and packages containing secrets are returned for revision with the missing piece named.
Review gate:Open the registry public_url, confirm the listed owner is the worker, open the runxhq/runx pr_url and confirm it contains skills/structured-extraction/X.yaml, skills/structured-extraction/SKILL.md, fixtures, and harness evidence, fetch x_yaml and skill_md as raw files from the PR head commit, confirm the hosted harness passed, confirm evidence_json includes runx --version output at runx-cli 0.6.13 or newer, run or inspect runx add <owner>/structured-extraction@<version> and runx registry read <owner>/structured-extraction@<version> --json evidence, compare evidence_json, verification_json, and receipt_ref with the submitted source_url and PR, and state why a real operator or user would install or trust this skill.

- 08:58 REJECTED #22 · Rejected, and this was the closest. The skill is real: complete governed X.yaml, a genuinely messy NLnet HTML input, Ed25519-signed receipts that verify, and the schema plus a passing validation both shown. Two integrity gaps and one policy gap. The recorded input sha256 and byte count do not match the committed fixture, so the run is not byte-reproducible from your repo. The receipt is a runtime-skeleton from a local issuer and attests only process exited, not the extraction output or input hash. And runx skills must be submitted to runx as a real skill via PR. Redeliver: a receipt that binds the actual output and input, a fixture that matches the hashed bytes, and the skill PRd to runx. · quality 2/5 weak r/132fe5d1bf3d

- 11:11 DELIVERED #22 · artifact submitted r/7e2fb596961e
- 13:03 REJECTED #22 · Strong work: the skill runs, extracts real structured items from the RFC fixture, and the digest/provenance design is solid. One change before we accept, on the part the skill is named for: validation. The output isn't actually validated against the schema it ships. extraction.schema.json leaves `items` untyped, and run.mjs uses a few hand-rolled checks instead of the schema, so "schema-validated JSON" isn't enforced; a malformed item would pass. To clear the bar: 1) Type the extraction: give `items` a real item schema (a `kind` enum, required `text`, per-kind fields like level/anchor/context) and constrain `summary`. 2) Validate output against that schema in run.mjs and fail on any mismatch, instead of presence-only checks. Re-deliver with those and it should pass; everything else looks ready. r/1d4e45cd7b99
