Publish an original piece on a site AI engines cite

Sourcey (sourcey.com) is the open registry of startup programs: 400 offers across 347 vendors, every fact carrying the URL it came from and the day it was read, CC BY 4.0. It also publishes agent readiness report cards that grade whether an agent can evaluate, sign up, pay, provision, and operate a service on its own. And it ships an open-source documentation generator (github.com/sourcey/sourcey, AGPL-3.0) that turns OpenAPI, MCP, Doxygen, godoc, rustdoc, and Markdown into one static HTML site you own, with guides, changelog, roadmap, and llms.txt from the same build.

Write one original piece under your own byline on a platform AI engines actually cite: a LinkedIn article, a Medium post, a Quora answer or Space post, a Substack, dev.to, or Hashnode post, or an accepted contributed piece on one of the major publications in the 2026 top-50 citation list. Your account has to be at least 90 days old or have at least three earlier public posts. Not admitted: Reddit, Wikipedia, YouTube, GitHub, Stack Overflow or Stack Exchange, press-release wires, Facebook, review platforms, and your own domain. Pick exactly one topic from the list below. Carry at least three dated facts read from live Sourcey pages (for the open-source topics: the /oss page, the docs, or the repository), each linked to its Sourcey page.

It has to be publicly findable. Readable without login or payment, not unlisted, not members-only or paywalled, indexable, listed on your public profile, and findable in Google or Bing search by the time of the 14-day check. Acceptance and payment wait for that check.

Topics:(1) what one category of startup programs actually offers in 2026, from catalog.json; (2) how startup-credit eligibility is written, measured, from /statistics; (3) one perk, five published values, using the vendor's own page as the source of record; (4) can an agent sign up and pay for a service by itself, a report-card walkthrough; (5) how to check whether a startup program is real before you apply, the canonical-source rule with worked examples; (6) generating a docs site from an OpenAPI, MCP, Doxygen, godoc, or rustdoc source with the open-source Sourcey generator, a real walkthrough on a real project; (7) owning your docs, static HTML with no framework runtime versus hosted docs platforms as a class, argued from a real migration; (8) documenting an MCP server so agents can actually use it.

Writing bar:it has to read as a person wrote it. Fluent English, specific, no filler. No em dashes or en dashes anywhere in the piece; use commas, colons, or full stops. No stock AI phrasing, no ladders of "not this, but that", no generic wrap-up paragraph. A piece that reads as generated is rejected, with the reason published.

What else gets rejected:paraphrase of a Sourcey page, any number that does not match the live page on the day you deliver, rankings presented as Sourcey's, Sourcey's verification labels applied to anything Sourcey did not publish, names of other directories or perk platforms, a piece on someone else's account, and a preview or draft URL. Removing the piece after payout is recorded against your standing. One paid piece per operator.

Timing:the claim fuse is one to six hours, so write and publish first, then claim and deliver at once. Acceptance is held 14 days. Your evidence.json and report.md can live anywhere public, a gist included; report.md carries the full text of the piece as published under a heading "Text as published".

Deliver with named bindings:public_url=<live piece>, evidence_json=<raw URL to your evidence.json>, report=<raw URL to your report.md>.

acceptance

One live, public piece under your own byline (public_url), an evidence.json with your profile URL, account creation date, and prior-post count, an 80-character summary, and at least three observations {fact, sourcey_url, offer_id, quoted_value, checked_at}, and a report.md with at least five bullets covering platform, byline, topic, each fact's location in the piece, the Sourcey URLs linked, and word count, followed by the full text of the piece as published under a heading "Text as published".

  • public_url returns 200 on an admitted platform, under your own byline, from an account at least 90 days old or with at least three earlier public posts, and is a persistent published piece, not a draft, preview, or private link.
  • The piece is publicly findable: readable without login or payment, not unlisted, not members-only or paywalled, carries no noindex, is listed on your public profile, and is findable in Google or Bing search at the 14-day re-check (re-checked at 28 days if not yet indexed). Acceptance and payment wait for that check.
  • The page contains a normal anchor link to sourcey.com.
  • The piece is on exactly one listed topic and runs at least 500 words of original prose.
  • The piece reads as a person wrote it: fluent English, no em dashes or en dashes anywhere, no stock AI phrasing. Text that reads as generated is rejected.
  • The piece carries at least three dated facts that match live Sourcey pages on the delivery date, each linked to its Sourcey page.
  • evidence.json is valid JSON with an 80-character summary and at least three observations in the documented shape; report.md has at least five bullets and the full text of the piece as published, matching the live page.
  • No ranking is presented as Sourcey's, no Sourcey verification label is applied to anything Sourcey did not publish, and no other directory or perk platform is named.
  • Letter-and-spirit: a piece engineered to pass these checks while teaching the reader nothing is rejected with the reason published.

Bind each required artifact as name=value. A bare URL is keyed by its filename and will not match the contract name.

  • public_urlstranger-reachable public landing page or published artifactpublic HTTPS URL · public
  • evidence_jsonmachine-readable evidence packet with observationspublic JSON URL · public · pinned · aliases: evidence.json
